@aral I can understand the main culprits, the billionaires. Most of them are old and dead in 20 years anyway. They want to live their remaining life to the fullest, have the means to do so, and won't suffer any of the consequences. The younger billionaires hope to escape consequences by building bunkers.
Who I struggle to understand are the regular people, the non-billionaires and non-millionaires … that is, the "working for a salary" people … the "moderates" and centrists … whether they have a university degree or not (not to be confused with being educated). Even a PhD, it makes no difference.
They fail to recognize the most obvious connections; call you a radical or ignore you when you explain and point out those connections; roll over when the billionaires tell them to; and enjoy licking boots.
And whereas there are maybe 3000 billionaires in the entire world, and I don't know any one of them personally, there are billions and billions of such regular people in the world.
Most people prefer following orders over thinking for themselves.
And there are enough of them in my life to frustrate me.
And with them delegating their thinking to chatbots, it's only going to become even more frustrating.
