Yeah, I think Valve has nailed it.

Depending on how much they’re going to ask for one, I think Steam Frame might be the point where I dip my toes into chilly, lonely waters of VR headsets.

@dgar

The older I get the more I understand why people prefer VR glasses over regular ones.

@dgar I am too hyped by the fact that the Steam Frame is running Steam OS on a snapdragon device to care about the VR headset because until now, arm devices had to use box86 or 64 and the experience was not so great.

So I expect to see an available arm version .iso of CachysOS really soon and play low-end steam games with my RockPi like a breeze. 😎

@dgar honestly, my first VR headset was some of the best money I ever spent, and some of the most fun I've ever had in all the time I've been playing videogames.
@Hyperlynx yeah, I’d reckon! I’ve only tried out the MetaQuest briefly once before, but wanted to wait for a headset that has a massive collection of titles. I nearly went for a PSVR2, but I’ve never been that into console gaming. This looks like it’s going to let me access my entire steam library, and stream from anything else! I believe I’m sold… provided they’re not being inspired by Apple for pricing…
