This establishing shot from The Morning Show (S4 E9) is supposed to be the Minsk airport in Belarus, however it’s the Sofia airport in Bulgaria. It’s typical to use alternative shooting locations, but I immediately noticed three errors:

1. The Minsk marquee was comped in *front* of the streetlamp pole
2. The shot was flipped, evidenced by the large parking zone sign in the center
3. The tricolor Bulgarian flag appears on the control tower

Oops.

@louie there is no way in hell they would film the actual airport, but the roof sign is pretty close to the real one—at least they did _some_ research.
@knuku I feel like you’re not responding to what I’ve said but rather the subject of the post only.
@louie look, I get it, I am a proverbial reply guy, but there is a piece of context that might be missing here. Little to none mainstream western media gives a flying fuck about situation Belarus and the country itself, especially when objectively tougher situation is developing right beyond its southern border. Belarus was all over the news briefly in late 2020 but events in other parts of the world (Russia-Ukraine, Israel-Palestine, you name it) took over the headlines very soon. Even a lousy job like this is better than radio silence.
@knuku I really have no idea why you’re telling me this.
@louie dunno, I guess I was too excited to see Minsk National Airport signage on an Apple TV show :c
