When I was a kid, I had this edition of Space Invaders in a gray box ๐Ÿ™‚ (exclusive to France and European countries)

It seems that the blue box was also released in Europe (after the gray edition?)

@Gamrok
Do you think the band Boston ever thought about suing Atari?
@KCDOZ Good question! I don't know who first came up with the idea of "city" flying saucers ๐Ÿ˜€
@Gamrok I think silver (gray) cartridge was until the middle of the Atari 2600 market lifespan. The late years until 1992 the boxes and stickers was red, I have in full box the game Klax and that game is last official game released for the 2600.
@7osNanos Interesting! The console seems to have been released in France in 1981. My father may have bought it at the end of the year or in 1982. I had a handful of games for it with that silver box.
@Gamrok If your Atari 2600 released in France is possible the games and the console to be SECAM (with only 8 colour pallet) Atari 2600 normally have 16-13 colours but because the TV system in France was the SECAM and not the American NTSC or the Europe PAL system they use only 8 on a SECAM system. Is possible even if you try to play a Europe PAL cartridge to have a different color pallet than the nomal.
