IsoldeYSK: Your saliva is made of blood
I didn’t learn it today. Most people I’ve mentioned it to were surprised and have never thought about it. I just thought it was a neat fact to share.

It sure is a neat fun fact.
But I really can’t imagine a situation where this knowledge would even be remotely helpful.
I think it’s important for people to know how their body works; besides that I guess they would understand why saliva can be used as a DNA sample. It can also be used to identify blood type, so maybe someone who doesn’t want to get blood drawn because they are afraid of needles can have their blood type identified that way.
Isn’t this a community for information, just for information’s sake? Whether it’s useful or not it’s ultimately subjective.
I can delete the post though, if it really is that redundant.

As I understand it is more for practical tips and knowledge. As per the side bar “YSK - for all the things that can make your life easier!”
I don’t think you have to delete it, but I personally I think this is pretty much on he border of practically useless information.
