morph ðŸ¥Oof, I gotta find a gig or four. Working on my own is cool, I’m doing a bit of schooling in programming for kids, but that’s not a living salary. Not an instant worry but within 2-3 months I must find additional work. Sadly most corpos want a full 40hrs, I can’t do that much bc of that schooling job. Also I don’t want to.
Oh and I’m also doing computy journalism (print) which is cool! Pay is not amazing but I can put my URL in many ppl’s hands, that must count for a thing…? As a kid my aspiration was to do journalism so that is kind of satisfying.
sunrock@morph if you know a lot of folks from various old jobs you could ask around for consulting gigs… or join a company that finds contracts for consultants. I got a buddy doing that (on top of his 40hrs job!!!)
@sunrock good call, thank you! I'm in touch with old work folx hoping that a gig pops up. Contract finding company is probably a good thing to do but I worry about grabbing gigs I don't dig. It's a luxury to worry about this, I know...
@morph nowadays as I inch toward my almost-40s I don’t know of any gigs I’d dig. It’s just horrid out in computing land. Yuck!
