the future is now
Fair enough but when it is just reposting others posts so that everything is doubled up on all is it really adding anything of value.
I get that they are reposting pretty much everything they see on .ml presumably for people who have that instance blocked but I question how beneficial that really is.
Either way I agree with your original anti AI sentiment :)
While I appreciate you calling out AI content, it is helpful to substantiate how you concluded that it is AI generated to prevent people thinking these claims are all false positives. Nothing in the image seemed uncanny to me (apart from whatever physics would be required to make the suit itself). Several different online AI image detectors all claimed this image was real. Reverse image searches led to only recent social media posts with no further details. I did find two sources (of dubious credibility) that claim it to be AI generated

Source 2: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/beer-jacket-viral-trend/
Despite the apparent lack of any AI generated image traits (as far as the detectors and me can tell), since there is apparently no further details and all of the information is new and āviralā, I would think this is AI generated. It would also make sense as an awareness marketing scheme for the beer brand on the front of the coat.
What characteristics stuck out to you?
Tech commentator Orikron shared an AI-generated image on November 10 of a transparent puffer jacket filled with beer pouches and sipping straws, depicting a man in a Chinese street market, which quickly amassed millions of views on X. Fashion expert Derek Guy responded by posting a photo of a traditional wool overcoat, expressing preference for classic style. Users created memes about hands-free drinking and tailgating, while fact-checks confirmed the jacket is fictional but inspired by China's street-drinking culture in Qingdao, leading to over 294,000 engagements.
I donāt see anything obvious to indicate that it is a generated image either. However I noticed the font is slightly off and the second character is wrong.
So either the model came very close and failed at one character, or itās a real image with counterfit brand usage and they misspelled it on purpose.
I guess the straw looks off but it could maybe work in a less obvious way.
and they did a bad job
That much liquid would cause the empty top of the coat to sag more
also the foam on the top of his right sleeve is slanted when it would be level with everything else if it were real
Yāall mad at it being AI, but I think you might have missed out on a very fun thermodynamics problem⦠How cold does it need to be outside to keep the beer at a chilled drinking temperature, but also how thick does the insulating layer need to be between them and the beer to keep them comfortable, without going hypothermic? Iāve been out of the physics game for a while so I cheated and asked AI.
- āChilled beerā target: 4 °C - Skin temperature (inner surface facing the beer): ā33 °) - Beer thermal conductivity ā 0.6 W/(mĀ·K) - Heat-loss budget (steady-state) for comfort at rest ā 80 W per m² - Required foam liner ā 9.4 mm (0.37 in)Kind of bulky for an average outing but given a certain situation or event!
ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆAI is a really dumb content generator but can be an interesting fun fact approximater!
Same.
Thereās easily 4 gallons of fluid in the torso and maybe another gallon in each of the arms (eyeballing from years of camelbak ownership). Being lazy and not looking up the weight of beer, water weighs 8.8 lb per gallon. So at least 50 pounds of fluid. Heās working off his beer belly just walking around with that. Weāre looking at the next exercise revolution.
