A red dragon faces the woods, clawing at barbed wire, in honour of the 38th (Welsh) Division who fought here in July 1916.

@reviewwales My paternal Grandfather got out of this particular fight (he was SWB) by joining the RFC (after faking his eye test). Turned out not to be so smart as he ended up flying at Arras, and survived being shot down. He was an incredibly brave man (MC for his flying), much of the rest of my father’s family were not helped at all by their bravery at the Somme and elsewhere. Sickening waste.
