I've been playing around with the guitar a bit - I know there's a looooooong way for me to go to even cover the basics, but anyway; tried hooking the guitar to my PC through scarlett 2i2 and realized that the fender's stand alone amp is **super** noisy. Zero noise through scarlett.

(I mostly play without an amp, makes more sense learning that way to me... guitar rig does have really fun filters though =)

@sol_hsa I have long ditched physical amps for a variety of reasons (chief of which is the footprint), but yeah not having to deal with noisy analog gain stages is one of them!
@frabert @sol_hsa analog noise forever! (actually no amp though)
@sol_hsa if you're on Linux, I found guitarix fun to play with to emulate all kinds of amps and effects and whatever
@Doomed_Daniel not on linux, and I apparently have three versions of NI's guitar rig..
