This right here is a great(ly disappointing) example of the state of #Accessibility right now. I tell a heyshteyg sharts content thief that their #Subtitles are unreadable because they made them unfit for purpose, and I get told to "LEaRn tO rEAd."
The fucking things don't even distinguish who's saying what, they're animated so they take too long to appear, and even if they didn't, they update too fast for slow readers, and yet somehow 'everyone else can read them?' This is #Ableism at its finest. #Subtitles are an ACCESSIBILITY FEATURE. #ClosedCaptions were LITERALLY INVENTED FOR THE DEAF. Deaf people can be slow readers. Deaf people can't tell by ear who's saying what, so as part of their FUNCTION, the subtitles HAVE TO TELL THEM.
On that note, deaf people can also be colourblind, so even subs that DO distinguish multiple people talking often fail in that regard, as the only distinction is colour, and not names. THAT'S STILL INFINITELY BETTER THAN 99% OF SUBTITLES ON HEYSHTEYG SHARTS, just one long sentence with EVERYONE'S dialogue!!!
Subtitles were invented to allow deaf people to understand television, but now it seems like retards everywhere think they're a stylistic feature, and that I'M the one being rude when by acting like #Subtitling isn't for people who cannot rely on their hearing THEY'RE being ableist.

I would link to a video on #TheProblem about this, but it got ERASED due to a particularly thin-skinned cunt with the "lEArN To ReAD" way of thinking acting like "rudeness" is a worse crime than EXCLUDING DISABLED PEOPLE. The loudest people who get the most attention are always those with the worst priorities.
