Because you mentioned using actual ranges, do you have a convention or preference for naming them?

@anthony not really no, though now that I think about it, I think maybe `_span` would make for a good suffix. It's short and unambiguous.

@danielquinn Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. As a second language English speaker, it seems that span can also be used for ranges other than time : length comes to mind.

I've seen `_period` used as well.
