We can't take advice about empathy from someone who is neurologically incapable of experiencing it. Elon doesn't feel it and cannot understand that it's a vital part of being fully human. He shouldn't get to decide its value for society.

His calling empathy a "weakness" and saying it must be ignored is like a color-blind person declaring "Red isn't real" and "Green is destroying our society".

@ElleGray I see them more as psychopaths and sociopaths, very human things. Mostly should be locked up or otherwise removed from society, though. Every crime should be prosecuted and punished, as much as the small baggie meth dealers are done in any small city.

Elon is a fascist asshole because he’s a fascist asshole, not because of his neurology.

Autistic people like me and him are perfectly capable of feeling empathy, and in fact often suffer from too much. What we can’t do is understand the inside of an allistic person’s mind.

He's claimed to be autistic. Autistic people are perfectly capable of empathy. The myth that autistic people are incapable of empathy comes from the difficulty allistic people have in feeling empathy towards autistic people.
