A question for men who used to have long hair but now wear theirs short: what prompted you to cut it? I'm really curious.

@AdaraAstin Mostly, I fancied a change. There was an element of practicality too, long hair and moving engines aren't a great mix and it was annoying having to secure it out of the way. It was also just a chore to look after and took a long time to dry.
After a spell of short hair, I'm growing it out again. I fancy a change, and a longer cut feels like the right choice at the moment. For as long as I've still got it, I'll happily change my hair styles.
@vulgalour "I fancied a change" and "occupational safety" are two great answers!
I hope the grow out goes well.
