@ardouglass @mark IIRC, Texas passed a law a few years back that banned, or severely limited, HOA’s from regulating religious displays. And if memory serves it was vague as hell and ripe for abuse.

@mark One dude in my neighborhood leaves lights up and runs them every night all year. Granted, it's minimal, but there.

No access to a night shot, but Google Street View reveals the strands threaded along the edge of the roofline. (Street View image says it was captured in April.)

@mark I literally saw neighbors putting them up after Diwali but before Halloween, and then *had them lit* on Halloween while everyone was trick or treating 🤦‍♀️
