Rad #ATS mod idea to prove how easy it would be: Just implement the 2008 #MUTCD, #metric version in game. Don't change anything else. Players can easily switch the on-screen software displays on trucks that have redundant or inherently analog hardware, and at minimum the computer is there to diagnose problems as they happen anyway. So software speed gauge is easy, even with the hardware one.
