Budae Jigae (or as we honkies call it, "Korean Army Base Stew") is a Korean/American-fusion one pot meal that has been on my radar for years.   

According to legend, food was in short supply when the Korean War ended back in Happy Days...but the American GIs had plenty of highly processed, tin-canned, pig-heavy rations  to share. The result was this glorious mess.

I resolved that, as god is my witness,  I must eat some this weekend.
