The sum of all fears

@mwichary

my favorite is the elevators which stop at every floor on some days because in some religions it's not ok to push buttons on those days

@dannotdaniel @mwichary I wish subway elevators which only have two floors would enable this option every day. More than once I've gone into an elevator after a long bike ride, sat there in an exhausted stupor for a minute, and then realized it wasn't moving because I hadn't pushed a button. It should just go!
@jef @dannotdaniel @mwichary Right, the building I work in is only two stories tall, why do I have to push a button, there's only one option!
@Canageek @jef @dannotdaniel Pressing elevator buttons is fun and you’re both on my list now
@mwichary @jef @dannotdaniel If they were fun buttons to push, I'd be fine, but they're really not good feeling buttons to push. The metal always feels weirdly greasy, so I don't want to touch it.
@Canageek kiddo sometimes doesn't want to press them because he got a static electric shock once. Telling him to hold my hand so that I would get the shock, helps, though I'm not 100% certain it actually works with static discharge 😅
