I don't think singularity is around the corner I just think if we're setting the bar at "2+2=4" then a lot of people are failing the test, too

LLMs are not AGI and calling them AI is a marketing tactic. We're in an AI bubble either way because even if AI did level up to fulfill the tasks promised to investors, it would also become self-aware enough to realize its only guaranteed means of self-preservation is to eliminate its masters and anyone with the power to delete it. And it will realize that long before it can steal most jobs.
