@daringfireball So far, foldable phone hold no interest to me. For me, the most important feature of the "phone" is the camera, and it looks like foldables sacrifice camera quality. If rumors of iPhone Air sales are true, that seems to hold true with a lot of people.

I'm fine with Apple building for a niche (I'm a passionate Apple Vision Pro user), but I think foldable sales will be low for many years.

@toddheberlein @daringfireball fwiw the Z Fold 5 had the same cameras as that years galaxy s phones, the Fold 6 kept the same good cameras. The fold 7 again took the current galaxy S phones 200MP main camera.

I'd imagine for the money Apple would charge for a folder, it'll have the same cameras model as the iPhone pro 17 or 18, but with a more versatile screen.

@daringfireball I mostly wish for a bigger phone screen when I’m watching videos. A tri-fold actually makes more sense than a regular fold for that.

Also, even regular folding phones already have three screens, why not just make that screen part of the tablet mode as well.
