Hearts at the PSF are full today from the responses about the recent grant turn down news we shared. All of your kind words of support & solidarity, as well as your donations & new memberships, mean the world to us. We're so grateful to be in community with each of you 💛 🐍 💙
While in some ways the decision was tough, knowing the #Python community would have our backs made it easier. We want to thank you deeply for the words of support across many platforms- but also your actions.
In the past day we raised $65K+ USD and are thrilled to welcome 137 new Supporting Members! We truly hope you continue to follow us and share this story and more as we kick off our annual fundraiser in November. Thinking about becoming a PSF member? @ThePSF That means only 130 people/companies donated what my company did (on average). Out of the millions of companies where #Python is mission-critical?

COME ON PYTHON USERS! Tell your boss how much damage undetected malware in PyPi would cause - and cost. Get them to donate a fraction of that cost NOW to prevent it happening - probably the best return on investment your company will ever get!
