Block me if you must but I don't mind instant coffee. Probably because I'm used to cowboy coffee (which is objectively terrible). It's quick and easy and gets the job done. Lately, there's even been a trend towards instant coffee that's actually pleasant tasting. Like this UCC 118 that I got at Lee Lee down in Tucson. Not bad! I would drink it on purpose. #coffee #sacrilege
@ipxfong Never tried any of the modern generation of instant. But then I have the time to enjoy my morning ritual with the grinder.
@bosquebill
The modern instant coffee is pretty remarkable. Especially if you remember the horror of Taster's Choice from back in the 20th century. That said, none of it holds a candle to a fresh ground, well made cup of coffee.
@ipxfong What is cowboy coffee? 😀
@wat
Add ground coffee to a pot of water, boil it for a while then take the pot off the fire and let the grounds settle a bit then drink. It helps if you like "strong flavors" and a gritty texture. 😁
@ipxfong I think I had something similar with Bedouins in Jordan!
@wat
That sounds like an amazing experience! Desert coffee connects us all. 😁
@ipxfong I totally agree. Instant is quick and easy to adjust for strength. My favorite is #yaucono from #puertorico
@LibraryJRP
Oh, nice! I'll see if I can't grab a jar of Yaucono. Thanks!
