@rbreich hey, Robert? Or whoever manages your account?
Could you please use Alt Text? Always, but especially when it's an image of text?

It's getting kind of hard to accept that this man of the people not only continues to make this mistake, but that his operation consistently ignores all requests to stop doing so.
@BartV @cocaine_owlbear @rbreich
Yeah, I have wondered about that too. Does posting text as an image give it more gravitas, or something? But, regardless, he hasn't been engaging here, has he? I love what he has to say, but it might be time to put other things first.
Shall we each send him a note saying if he doesn't start using alt text here in 30 days, we'll stop following him?
@BartV @cocaine_owlbear @rbreich
Well, someone is posting his material here for him. If it's for reach (and I can't imagine that's not at least one reason), whoever that is probably watches the numbers. If they go down, maybe that will get their attention.
And, fact is, these little snippets of his wisdom haven't really taught me anything new in a long time. I like them, but I don't gain much from them.
@BartV @cocaine_owlbear @rbreich
It could be. But numbers are still numbers.
We could also go direct and contact him via his bsky account or any of several other ways.
Or, frankly, we could just move on to some other matter of importance. Life's too short sometimes, eh?
@BartV @cocaine_owlbear @rbreich
You know, I think I will too. Or just unfollow. But, yeah, he's not playing by his own rules. Kind of a shame to be drawing that conclusion. Our side is supposed to be better than that.
Thanks for helping me sort that out in my mind.

Robert Reich posted elsewhere:

When Massachusetts passed a "millionaires tax" in 2023, conservatives claimed the rich would flee.
But two years later, they haven't - and MA has collected $5.7B for infrastructure and public education.
A reminder that positive change can still happen at the state level.

@jupiter_rowland yeah, that's why I stopped boosting his posts
It's like if I were quoting from somewhere else, but with an easier link to the source I saw
It would be better if Robert would actually post and participate here
I think what he's doing is better than depending on a bridge back to a Nazi bar that will track us
Here's another great reminder.
New York State sent a bill to oil companires, an invoice, to pay for climate damage in New York State so far, of $75,000,000,000. Seventy five billion dollars.
You dont have to be flooded out, or set fire to and just let them.

@rbreich
Why does the "Co-founder of Inequality Media" never use alt text that would make images accessible to people who can't read text from them? Even after being frequently asked to?
An understanding of any kind of inequality should make it easier to understand that other inequalities exist in our society. Posting text for textual content is an easy way to help reduce the inequality face by people with visual impairments.
@rbreich ah. I guess this is an automated account?
Yeah, bud, I'm just gonna block you.
