11/22/63 - Stephen King

I’m not a fan of horror - but I’ve found Stephen King’s non-horror books to be really good!

For me, JFK was a subplot. The real story was in the main characters and the (intoxicating) idea of living life with some secret knowledge of the future, as well as the intoxicating idea of existing for one sole purpose. Great read.

@dingus Haven't read this one, but I found at some point that Stephen King seems to be way better at telling about people, their oddities and difficulties with each other than supernatural. And often also the real horror lies in the human relations, rather than some deus-ex-machina boggart.
@lepaggoth I’d agree with that, from my limited reading of him!
No need for boogeyman, as he shows the evil that some humans have inside, which is almost scarier in a way…
