Is it just me or does our overall tolerance for one another seem lower than it had been in the past?

I wonder why that is.

@bobdobberson we can just block people we don't like. Relationships resemble capitalist dynamics and people choose capitalism over the effort of relationships, eg uber. No time and space to connect and understand others, people project their fears and protect their ego. No energy for conflict, just cut people off and call it peace.

@Anatree we're good at curating our bubbles, that's for sure.

@bobdobberson Well, part of it is undoubtedly the toxic impact of ever-tightening corporate control over the means of communication.

But part of it is, too, that I think we're seeing a lot more of how other people really are and ... just ... recoiling in repulsion.

@ZDL I agree that a big part of it is the propaganda machine. I wonder what things will look like when we manage to turn it off.
