Mew, peeps! I joined #Finch, thanks to inspiration from a lovely friend of the miaolings here on Mastodon! My birb is named Bamboo and they are still a baby. They spend their time walking long distances in the forest, which is pretty much what I wish I could do all day. We’ll see how the app works for me, but so far I have a good feeling about it.
My birb gets to carry around a little rubber ducky. I’m so happy for them!
Little Bamboo couldn’t finish all their tasks today 😭
My birb baby Bamboo doesn’t like the Very Hungry Caterpillar because they are jealous of caterpillars!
I had an upsetting phone call (aren’t they all) to make but knowing that I could mark it off on #Finch helped me get it done. 🎉
Productivity update: The #Finch micropets make cute little noises when you tap them. I have been petting someone’s baby duck micropet and I just can’t get enough of it. I wish I could see the names of other people’s micropets.
#Finch dilemma: If I sell our birdhouse door, I can afford a basket of black carrots for Bamboo to carry around. But maybe we need a door.
My birb is naked until I can decide how to dress them
Believe it or not, I am looking forward to cleaning litter boxes later today because Bamboo will get to hatch a new micropet!
Four weeks of #Finch and I can honestly say that it has had a beneficial impact on my ability to organize and follow through with tasks. It has also helped me punctuate my day with little moments of rest rather than press on with counterproductive task marathons that actually make it harder to get stuff done.
How could anyone ever afford a #Finch plushie for their birb for 15k rainbow stones?! Maybe Bamboo needs to start a savings account.
I’m trying to decide which micropet language to learn next
