A construction company in Florida keeps emailing me asking for quotes as they have a typo in their mailing list which happens to map to one of my domains. I've asked twice now to be removed but they replied saying they don't know how. They need motivation. So I'm going to start replying to their emails with lewd photos of construction workers and see how long before they stop emailing me 😅
Round 1, let's go
@Foritus 😆 I'm looking forward to hearing how they respond!
@ellieraejaye @Foritus “Next time it won’t be a can he’s gripping, if you catch my drift”
@Foritus lmaoooo I love the dire warning at the end, followed by “Love,…” 😂
@crowbriarhexe @Foritus hey, I'm worried this is going to backfire... They might be into this lmao
@crowbriarhexe @Foritus i mean, we are still in the realm of tasteful beefcake so I dunno, if it were me I would probably at least see where this is going for a few emails.
@Foritus @babe Inb4 you get even more mails from them
@Foritus or they are going to email you more
@Foritus Great reaction :-) But you probably should obfuscate their names and mail addresses in the picture...
@Foritus pipe fitters dot jay peg 🤭 You could also try sending them a quote and see if they pay it
@Foritus that ... may become an inventive.
@Foritus I used to get that for an Australian shipping company. After I started responding “Unfortunately since The Incident we are no longer trading” it got sorted out pretty quickly.
@Foritus Had a similar experience with a (now long defunct) music distribution plattform. They refused to take me off their mailing list, and the list had everybody in plain CC.
So I started a discussion on the list about a very controversial topic - The cheaper pricing of their competitors.
It took them four days to shut down the mailing list on their side but people kept on answering directly to their email adresses someone had added (not me, though). It was hillarious.
@hyperbolix Ooooh that's so good! Nice work 😄

@Foritus 'bout time they learned how to remove an address.

I'd have `whois`-lookuped the sending server and reported it as spam to the `abuse` contact.
