@john @pixelfed yes, if you enable federation, it submits your domain to fedidb.com like WordPress and other projects. That is it.

@pixelfed There’s a bit of a user experience issue here for folks who don’t realize that they need to find a specific federated server to join: joinloops.org links to fedidb.com where the first thing you see is a button for Loops labeled “Website”, which loops back to joinloops.org which…
It would nice if there was a “Find a Server” button on FediDB just above “Website” that scrolled down to the servers.

@yiorgos @pixelfed the beauty of freedom is that anyone can contribute with what they believe is worthy, be it because it leaves a mark, because it's close to one's heart, or for whatever reason.

I do believe that loops is a leap in the right direction. If you don't, you're welcome to do something else. This comment of yours might be a first step, but it certainly is not an achievement.

Congrats on this release! Glad you confirmed pixelfed collects no telemetry save for the instance's existence outbound.

Did you code in any process to inject any ads, follows, etc INTO instances?

@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] not having ads has been declared many times by Dan as one of the purposes of this app. As for injecting follows, it's unclear what you mean, but if it has anything to do with following someone against the will of either side involved, it is against the principles of the fediverse. This makes me wonder why would you even ask such a question. So maybe you meant something else?

@pixelfed I'm not seeing the same settings and privacy options that's shown in the video. I also can't seem to scroll through the hashtags. Not sure if it's a me issue or not.
