I’m bored and forced to be horizontal, so I’m going to tell you all about yesterday’s shopping trip.

We went to Winco, which I think is a fairly local supermarket. It’s theoretically cheaper than Walmart, at least for some items.

We realized on the way there that our caregiver, who was driving us, only has 2 arms and cannot push our wheelchair as well as a shopping cart. And we don’t have the stamina to self-propel in that scenario.

We tried one of the store scooters. It was interesting. At first we were anxious about running into people. But we got the hang of it.

And then we ran out of energy because it didn’t have back support.

And then it BROKE DOWN in the middle of a produce aisle. An employee came over to help and did not seem to think favorably of the quality of the scooters, not just because of this incident.

Our caregiver went and fetched the wheelchair from the car again. And got someone from customer service to follow us with a cart.

The cart person was friendly and nice!

We got everything on our list except for creatine powder.

We did crash afterwards. Whoops. Now we know not to try the scooters again.
