Joel really should go to jail, though.
Yeah, I'm going to agree with that idea that this was originally going to be in the 1930s, (with the prolog being in the 1890s), but for some reason it got changed to the 1980s.
Early shaky cam?
@SnoopJ we have mice!
So Lance, Ed is going to dig up a monster and the witch is going to fix it up and send it on a rampage?
Are we sure that this isn't secretly one of those 80s fantasy movies that also has fancy high tech equipment?
Snark aside, a literal blood sacrifice is a good bit.
I do like how the locals are just "yeah, there's this vengeance monster".
Nice gun tropes played straight and subverted.
Also, the wolfy-dog turning on Ed from his demonic pact.
No, Tubi, we've already seen The Gate
This one definitely falls on the "good" side of movies, since my actual complaints are things like the time period. The hillbillies just being the local folk and not evil is nice, though.
@Newpa_Hasai Ah yeah fair
I took having to dig up Pumpkinhead's body to be an "Unexpected Cost" but it was a bit of a stretch
