What people call “phones” nowadays should really just be called “computers”.

Or, if you want to be specific, maybe “pocket computer” or “mobile pocket computer”.

Calling modern (mobile pocket) computers “phones” reminds me of when cars were called “horseless carriages”, and locomotives were called “iron horses”.

Yeah, I agree that "mobile" would have been a better name than "phone" — for "mobile pocket computers".
