The Time Tunnel 1x20 "The Walls of Jericho" review by RikerDonegal

**Myrna Fahey.** Second episode written by Ellis St. Joseph, who clearly had a Bible on hand. Most of the regulars are revealed to have intimate knowledge of biblical stories/passages. The melodramatic Bible stuff is unintentionally funny. The plot is simple. It starts when Doug and Tony immediately tell Joshua, commander of the Israelites, that they come to him from the future and are promptly sent into the city of Jericho as his spies. One gets captured, and the other acquires allies inside the besieged city. By the end, just before the walls of Jericho begin to fall, they have switched places, with Doug now a free man instead of Tony. It plays out as a fast-paced adventure yarn, with no sci-fi and almost no stock footage. Instead, the director makes clever use of standing sets. The guest cast are all excellent, and they deliver some over-the-top dialogue with complete and utter conviction. It’s not a particularly good episode, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. _Spring 1967: ABC aired The Time Tunnel in the first half of Friday prime time after The Green Hornet and before Rango. Against it were The Wild Wild West and Hogan’s Heroes on CBS and Tarzan and The Man from UNCLE on NBC._ 6/10
