Gonna make one of these, except bigger, for the truck.

I installed a backup camera, and according to the directions, they want the positive lead spliced into either a reverse light or a running light, depending on the desired effect.

Not doing that. I don't want to touch the existing electrical system, period.

So I'm gonna set up another battery, so that everything I add to the truck is completely separate from the truck's electrical system. So I'm gonna go to the military surplus store and (hopefully) pick out an ammo can that will fit perfectly in the middle seat no one will ever sit in anyway, and make a big button box—functionally a center console—out of it (and figure out a way to fasten the seatbelt through it, since no one wants to sit there anyway, and so that it doesn't become a projectile in the event of a crash).

I'll start by adding the toggle switch for the backup camera, so that I can turn it on or off whenever I want, and have that have nothing to do with the lights or the rest of the vehicle.

Distribution panel with a fuse and a blue light (to indicate "on") for every switch, a kill switch, and an amber light to indicate that the kill switch is turned on.
