Today marks the first year since I started playing #FFXIV which just a few months in became one of my favourite narrative experiences not just in games, but media overall - letting me reconnect with old friends while making new ones, and also reigniting my love for art and music.

It's very easy to savour the story at a consistent pace when the game becomes your happy place, surrounding you with some of your favourite, real people too.

The timing of my anniversary special because just this last night I have finished the last bit of story content from 7.3!

I'm extremely glad I decided to jump into the game when I could give it enough attention. My own sustainable pace let me appreciate not just the incredible highs leaving me in tears for whole evenings, but also the weaker parts of the game's design steadily improving over time.

As of right now I feel quite optimistic about the upcoming patches so I feel like my journey has not just... been worthwhile, but is also far from over.

This "RPGMMO" has really proven to be a special place and I'm happy to be on board now - and be far from alone on this ride.
