The rather picturesque waterfall in Rouken Glen Park. Despite being beyond the city's boundaries, it was created on land gifted to the citizens of Glasgow in the early 1900s by Archibald Cameron Corbett, who, at the time was the Liberal Unionist MP for Tradeston. It's now being leased to the East Renfrewshire Council, but is still owned by the city itself.

@thisismyglasgow this, for my family, was "The Park". We pretty much didn't go anywhere else as kids. It's got some archaeological features: original rig and furrow marks on the grass parts, and remains of the old mill downstream of the falls.

It was weird when Glasgow workers went on strike (1985?) and the park closed and Eastwood wasn't on strike. Free golf on the unsupervised course, though, even if the greens were a bit thick
