@mlabowicz @eugenialoli I have just yesterday nuked my OS drive, got rid of Ubuntu and Windows and replaced it with Arch.
Works like a charm and even better than with Ubuntu, which now seems to be a bloatware...
I don't use that computer much, though... I play just 1 Steam game, some web... For that it is a perfect fit.
There must be many computers with little to no specialized use. They can run Linux alright...
@mlabowicz Installing Arch was fun. Sort of... Gentoo for people that cannot afford energy bill...😅
I even had to do some research why it didn't want to boot the installer on UEFI and made a few errors and missteps in the process I had to later correct. Works like a charm now and made me feel the fun of doing it again...😅
@mlabowicz The solution was actually easy, but not that obvious.
DDing iso to the usb stick did not do the job, because I think it was still MBR and Legacy BIOS.
What I had to do is to format a partition to Fat32 and just copy all the files from ISO to it...
Arch documentations is a bit vague about that...😅
