Fair point, I personally couldn’t care less if the U.S. Military supported me or not if I can’t exercise my free speech then I don’t think it even matters. Again that’s my personal beliefs.
They need to be held to a higher standard of behavior by the people. So they must be critiqued it is crucial in a functional democracy.

I was trying to explain to a friend why alienation of fellow Americans is a bad move for any side that isn’t in power.
Realistically I don’t think the majority of conservatives or even maga conservatives are actually nazis or even believe in the pillars that establish fascism. I’m sure there are some, but I bet it’s less than 5% of that base.

If the military willingly follows illegal, unconstitutional orders, why would I want to support them?

TVAHonestly, I don’t think you’ve been around many military people. One of the great things about most enlisted people is they have to have a sense of humor or they probably wouldn’t make it. They’re constantly joking on each other. They’ve heard the “… and their wive’s boyfriend” thing hundreds of times probably, including from other military people.
