@obrien_kat unfortunately the dems are just slightly less horrible and their refusal to push for any real progress is the reason we have Trump. Maybe the problem is systematic and not dependent on who our current ruler is.
I will be demonstrating but not on behalf of the dems.

@axolotl there are indeed many problems with the Democrats. I want democracy and civil rights, which are vanishing under Trump. If there are fair elections, better people can be elected. The way we are going, there won’t be an opportunity to choose.

@obrien_kat but if nothing changes systematically we will just get a dem that deports more than trump (obama), refuses to codify into law protections for trans and womens rights (biden) and shamelessly supports genocide (all of them), which will just lead to more disillusionment and inevitably someone even worse than Trump. We cant (they wont ever) reform our way out of this. We need to build people power to replace this system, not repeat the nightmare cycle.
