Me in fall of 1998: Agrias is best girl.

Me in fall of 2025 after hearing her voice actress perform lines in the new translation: No, Mileuda is best girl 😭😤

Fighting against an oppressive, seemingly untouchable, ruling class, wielding her sword less than her battering ram like fists, and her dialogue very likely being the inspiration for the trend of creating anti-capitalist/anti-fascist dialogue to put into the game that many players thought was legitimate. Girl, you deserved better.

Not able to get a copy of my favorite game yet but I saw a bit of a playthrough and my concerns have almost completely evaporated.

...still needs to have an option to use the old hurt and death sfx of units though. Those chocobo sounds are... look, let's just agree that "Aroooo!" Is better.

@InsomniaInk niiice i'm glad they've done the characters justice! i'm gonna put this on my list because i bounced off the game back in the day (you know where it happened) and have always really wanted to dig further into it

@popful I think you'll enjoy it. It had a story deeper and with more mature themes than an early PS1 game had any right to have, and the gameplay was often challenging during story missions but cozy if you just wanted to chill with some random battles to build up a class for a character.

(I may be the only person in the world that beat Dorter Trade City on first try... but that's just because I half accidentally did 4 random battles at Mandalia Plains)😉
