Auschwitz Memorial

11 October 1924 | Polish Jew, Moïse Wajnsztajn, was born in Warsaw. He emigrated to France.

He was deported to #Auschwitz from #Pithviers on 31 July 1942. He perished in the camp on 24 October 1942.

@auschwitzmuseum Walking home through my City from the railway station last night, three smartly-dressed purposeful young men in conversation used a pedestrain crossing in front of me, one carrying a sound deck. I overheard another inveighing emphatically against "the jews, the jews" & my heart sank to hear such confusion & ignorance current among young English people, with total lack of understanding or awareness of European history. I post this in sorrowful memory of Mr Wajnsztajn. We remember
