perhaps you've seen mention of the just released board game "The Old King's Crown" and had some FOMO (kickstarter took 2 years, game took 7 years - all designed AND drawn by one guy). I can only say, yeah, this one is very good. the art is breathtaking and every single card is unique. and the game is really interesting. after a few plays I can see how this should continue to give new discoveries and synergies the more you play it. love it a ton so far.

@tweak Why is it always the really GOOD SOLID designs that sneak under the radar and are hard to get? 😆
@tweak
Would you be willing to expand on what causes you think it to be quite good from a design standpoint?
@grayson mind that I've got just a handful of games so far, but with each player having some asymmetrical powers (some single-use, some need to be activated by winning a clash first) and the purchasing/using of Kingdom Cards (game-changing cards with various uses), some light deck-building, and then the *timing* and *combination* of all the above, it seems to hold a lot of promise that feels more *potent* than games with similar features.
