China has 73million cows and they barely even farm beef. So please try again and tell me why NZ should give a single fuck about emissions? We could drop our emissions by 100% and it wouldnt be as significant as a 1% reduction from China which China is nowhere near doing btw. They cant even do a reduction in the rate of emission growth.
What!? Every single thing you said is wrong. There are a multitude of things we can do about it. Stopping dairy conversions is one. We should absolutely care about it. Storms, flooding and coastal inundation being the proven outcomes of sea temp rises. Increasing emission is the opposite of what we should do. You’ve fallen for Chinese propaganda. China is not leading the world in the rollout of renewables. Theyre behind the world average and significantly behind Europe. They also pollute the most by far. They produce more emissions than the next 6 countries combined.
If they are “leading the world” please tell me what % of their energy came from renewables im 2022, 2023, 2024. Then show me the world average then show me Europe.

What the fuck are you talking about. China is leading the world in renewables and electrifying their cars.
No they aren’t. I can see how you would get that impression if your opinion was formed entirely from reading headlines of propaganda articles posted but those zoom very far in snd highly only small wins. The big picture is horrible which is why they avoid it.
Their energy is only 30% renewable. Thats bang on the world average which is completely unacceptable for the largest country in the world. If they actually cared we would see them reduce the rate of emissions over the last 10 years but we havent its only kept increasing year on year.
They buy a lot of electric cars which is great and compared to countries that are 10x smaller it might seem like a ton but their overall fleet is only 9% EVs. I couldn’t find good data on this compared to other countries so I’ll just say its good and I doubt its world leading or anywhere near.

Everything I have read shows that China is doing more to move away from fossil fuels than any other nation.
x00zAlso nuclear and also solar and also wind farms. The point is that they have been and are continuing to shift their energy production to renewables and nuclear which is something the rest of the world is not doing.
