It's #Kaijuktober! And to celebrate it I'm watching a #kaiju #movie every day.
Today's movie was: Mothra / モスラ (1961)
An outstanding return to form for the kaiju genre. #Toho started the 60s with a bang, redeeming themselves for Varan's (1958) fiasco! From story to visual effects, Mothra was their most ambitious #film to that point, even rivaling #Godzilla (1954) for the top spot.
I give it 4/5 Kaiju

After Godzilla and Radon I expected a third kaiju to be more spectacular. What I got was Godzilla's little brother. He was not even good enough to terrorize Tokyo so they gave him a small village. Tomorrow I'll be watching King Kong vs. Godzilla / キングコング対ゴジラ (1962). I'm very excited I get to see #Godzilla again, and on top of that I get a giant ape? Yes, please! I hope it doesn't disappoint me; fingers crossed 🤞
