For trying to convince people to make healthier decisions? What the fuck?
Give it a try before you judge. I assure you’re that wheat flower with vegetable flower added tastes the same. You might just be confused; I’m not talking about that green stuff that tastes like alfalfa. I’m talking about the stuff that’s often advertised as “protein pasta”. It’s good and good for you.
The first comment in this chain is a (paraphrased) Barenaked Ladies quote from three song “If I had a million dollars”
Which fits this thread far better than a lecture on healthy eating.
Well then my bad. Didn’t realize we were referencing songs, here. I thought everyone was just being a fatass lol.
(Not deleting the comments, though, 'cause I embrace the downvotes. Feel free to just ignore me.)
O de oaten doaten day
Ooooo dee oaten dayyy-o
It kept me up way past my bedtime last night.
With that said, it suffers pretty hard from a problem inherent to the genre. The more you unlock the less fun it becomes. Unlike other survivor games, silver coins are very precious and you can unlock items way faster than you can unlock banishes. Ive also died countless times due to being stunlocked after a first hit. You can get knocked into other enemies with absolutely no way to recover depending on your momentum. Finally, items dont tell you what they do until you unlock them. Can waste silver early.
With all this said, I don’t regret my purchase. I’m having fun with it and there is still plenty of room for me to git gud.
When I see games like this I wonder if they will be a supported hit or a fly by night indie trend which will have a sharp decline to and forgotten developer support like what happened to Content Warning and Lethal Company.
I’m seeing developer support for PEAK, Schedule I and R.E.P.O so the jury is still out on those
Edit: added schedule I
I don’t think that I’d tell people it’s only worth a few hours, but I do expect a large portion of those sales to only last for a few hours.
Some people love the vampire survivors/risk of rain/megabonk game type though, my partner has put around 100 hours into vampire survivors by now. So I expect a core of players to enjoy returning to updates.
They are good games for those that like a challenge. There’s practically no story or content otherwise. I’m a big fan of brotato as well.
I like when they also have mobile ports too. Sort of like having real games on my phone. Slay the spire is a fantastic phone game too.
