@Vidyala as someone who was booted from #bluesky for "over" celebrating the "passing" of a racist, fascist, misogynist bigot,
in my month on #Mastodon i'm very happy i'm now here. I get more engagement here when i ask questions than i ever got on #bsky even tho i went from 1.4k followers to none
& i'm learning about the #fediverse which i was completely unaware of
this feels like a good space to be. tho i said that of bsky for the first 5 months, & i've only been here 1. 😁💙
@Vidyala exactly💙
i didn't do social media, but joined bsky after the election to be part of the #resistance as i'd heard that's where it was. & unless one acquires followers, their posts go unnoticed
bsky does have some good groups like those you listed, & a lot more people discussing them. i found a fun #pigeon group
but very little political discussion except to troll or get likes, imo
Welcome.
The only issue I have with the Fediverse is I agree with too many people. It would be good to have some more challenging responses. But respectful comment across political divides is rather out of fashion nowadays.
Which means there really isn't an open civilised forum for debate any longer. Fediverse is a too comfortable place. But I know of none better.
Hi Stuart,
I'm happy to be agreeing w/ people rather than arguing, especially when it comes to creating what i call #MyBlueWorld or on bsky #My💙🌐 but emojis don't work in #s here😁
& where we differ on how to,
or i don't know how & want input,
i'm grateful people offer input instead of telling me why i'm wrong, regardless of their knowledge🙄
maybe there's less fighting bc more people here are builders than destroyers, morons & trolls
i'm always up for good faith debate😉
