"Guide on How to Fail at Online Dating" is very long, and its full acronym GOHTFAOD is still very, very long but I've seen people online refer to this book as GHFOD so I'll use this instead

I'm excited for this book because although it's also a gaming romance by Jiang Zi Bei, it seems really different from I Can Do It!

So far the "relationship" between the two main characters is made of pure hatred 🀣

One (Jing Huan) is playing the game only to take revenge on the other, while said other (Xiang Huaizhi) has zero interest in him and only tries to avoid him πŸ˜…

This is so different from I Can Do It, where one was fan of the other, and the other was very curious about him too!

I can't wait to see how their relationship will evolve.
I'm guessing Xiang Huaizhi will slowly become more neutral to Jing Huan as they complete quests together (eg. the one started in chapter 7)... but it could also go the other way around, and he could start hating Jing Huan more and more as time passes! 🀣
On the other hand, because Jing Huan has a very strong reason to hate Xiang Huaizhi and a whole plan to ruin him, I can't wait to see him slowly fall for his "enemy" against his will ahh

Ahhhh they're both accidentally starting to fall for each other!!

I guess Xiang Huaizhi doesn't have much reasons to hold back. Sure there's that slag guy reputation, but it seems like he doesn't care much about this. And he mentioned before that he never dated so I guess he would take things slow but that's about it.
Also I was right about the fact that he doesn't prefer Jing Huan acting coy, as he even asked him to chill down the act πŸ‘€

On Jing Huan's side however, I wonder how he'll react to his heart beating fast when Xiang Huaizhi praises and protects him... You're supposed to hate him and to trick him, not to be seduced!

There had been so many close calls before, I thought the author would drag it for even longer, but that reveal was so satisfying πŸ”₯

I now wonder how things will go from there... Clearly Xiang Huaizhi doesn't understand the situation and is very confused about everything. Will he try to corner Xiao Tianjing into revealing who he is, will he try to get closer to Jing Huan to dig some information... I'm curious to see where this goes!

I reaaally wonder how the story will go from here!

One possibility is that Xiang Huaizhi realizes his feelings and, thinking that Jing Huan is gay, he'll confess to him that he's Yearning For and that he wants to date for real! And if Jing Huan hasn't realized his feelings by then, he'll be completely shocked and panicked - in a mix of gay panic and "why is my enemy #1 slag guy also my awesome senior?!"

Another possibility is that Jing Huan executes his original plan, and breaks up publicly and violently with Yearning For. Xiang Huaizhi would probably be very shocked, but if he realized his feelings he might also be pretty heartbroken... and then he goes to confront Jing Huan?!

Of course it could also be much less dramatic, for instance Xiang Huaizhi decides to clear up the slag guy allegations with Jing Huan, or something similar.

There's so many ways this could go... For instance I was far from imagining that Xiang Huaizhi would find out Jing Huan so early and still decide to play along, so really anything can happen!

Ngl, the tension is really good so I hope the reveal will be dramatic and worth it! Let's see!
