I found a bunch people on a forum discussing #ShermanFilterbank plugins and someone had referenced my work with the #BitwigStudio preset that I've been working on for close to a year now.

I wanted to discuss techniques and creative thought process with them, but it turns out that they are a group of people who keep repeating "you can't make a proper emulation without knowing the circuit diagram" or "switched capacitor filters are weird, it can't be done!"

Bah, humbug to them. I got some ideas studying the spec sheet for the LTC1060 chip last night, noodled and decided that I don't need those people's validation and that I should just go away and make sounds with it.

I would like to take a moment to say thank you to the #Fediverse (as curated by the amazing efforts of @aurynn over on #CloudIsland - which I think is one of the finest instances I've encountered) for being amazing, supportive and you are all round awesome people.

I like it here. Thank you. #Grateful

@ambientspace @aurynn hell yeah! you can do this 😁 (I'm not technical enough to understand what exactly you can do, but you have my full confidence :p)

@bazkie thank you. I am of the mind that if it sounds good, then go for it.

I found some excellent froggy 🐸 sounds this morning which made me think of you and wondered if you might like to have some samples to play with...

@ambientspace I totally agree! those forum users sound like a bunch of boring bureaucrats 🤭

new sounds are always welcome!

this reminds me of that remix of your track I tried to make a while ago; I'll share what I had so far, it's been collecting dust anyway. it's okay I guess but it's not really what I envisioned 🤷🏼‍♀️

@bazkie Here's a couple of variations - Single SFB and Double SFB with extra grit and lots of squelchy things.

Available for anyone who wants to play with them.
