I’ve not added any iCloud features, or been prompted to grant such permissions on any of the systems I tested the new release on. Most of the changes in this release were in the UI layer. What was the context where you were prompted?
@chrispassas Oh, one change that does involve file system access: I added code to resolve absolute browser paths by following symlinks to fix a bug where Choosy lost track of which browsers were running in some situations. Any chance you have browsers stored in iCloud Drive with symlinks to them?
@choosy I installed v2.5 and while the choosy window was up it prompted me for iCloud Drive access. I don’t have any browser installed or linked to iCloud Drive.
I do on my desktop and home folder of symlinks to other iCloud files like txt and jpg etc…
@choosy I just installed on a macOS 15.7 and it didn’t happen. My other machine that asked for iCloud Drive access is macOS 26.
Not a big deal, I just denied the access.
