If anything, this 1997 has fleshed out with age, showing a touch overripe (no surprise for the category), rich and a little jammy. (It's Amarone!) Perhaps it has less relative finesse today than in its younger years. It's showing some age, but it also drinks well, a great pairing for things like the pulled pork I was having, and there is still a backbone. It aged well. Last bottle.
