@IngridHbn Ik kan geen eten wegsmijten. Daarvoor heb ik al te veel miserie gezien in mijn leven.

’t Moet echt rot zijn voor ik het wegsmijt...

@IngridHbn only once it has become inedible. Which, unfortunately, happens.
@mees same here. sometimes bread is 3 days old and I would hurt my mouth...
@IngridHbn I am storing my bread in the freezer by now, it got moldy once too often. But leftovers we didn't really like, or veggies I don't know what to cook with 🫣
@mees we also store it in the freezer but sometimes it's too much; even when it was only half a bread.
@IngridHbn What do you mean by edible food? Like: food that's still usable? Because I throw away too much to my liking (because I'm horrible at planning my meals), but usually only when the stuff is really off. Like hairy and starting to sprout legs.
@mysteriarch my definition is like: half a lasagne (I don’t mind eating the same two days in a row), bread from yesterday or yoghurt that has expired three days… those are edible foods for me.
@IngridHbn if I had to throw away my day-after leftovers, I'd have to throw away at least a third of my food! No way!
@IngridHbn Oh wait, "edible". Then my answer is "never or rarely" rather than "monthly or less". That's the frequency with which I throw away food that's become inedible.

@IngridHbn

I don't through away food while it is edible, but the real problem is I didn't finish the food before it went bad.
