The last time Xiaomi put a display on the back of a slab phone was the Mi 11 Ultra back in 2021.

Clamshell flip phones were still pretty new at the time, but they're now a mature category - and Xiaomi's even on their 2nd gen!

Thus the rear display on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max should be more useful, but I still wonder how useful - how many of y'all place your phone face down on a table? It's pretty necessary for clamshell folding phones but not so much for slab phones.
